About Elli

My love of flowers comes from my family: wonderful memories of my Grandmothers' gardens, full of peonies, pansies, sweet peas, and dinner plate dahlias. Both Grandmothers were avid gardeners who created beautiful things with their hearts and their hands while giving a little piece of themselves. Watching them and working alongside them as a child grew into a love that still lives in me today.

This is the foundation of my design - building relationships. Family and nurturing is important to me and flows into not just my home-life, but every relationship I encounter: my boys, my family, friends, co-workers, and my clients and their families. Working with my amazing staff is hugely rewarding. We learn from each other, grow together and inspire one another while sharing laughs, life, and love. Watching how our lives grow and entwine brings me a lot of life, and takes me back to the gardens of my childhood.

My philosophy is simple - never force a flower. Let flowers speak for themselves. Flowers convey feelings that at times we as humans have difficulty expressing, but they do it naturally. They are vulnerable in the beauty they offer, even for the briefest of moments. Flowers are simply beautiful; we shouldn't fuss with such a natural beauty.

Working with my hands and creating something beautiful brings me joy and pleasure. And seeing how my efforts can make a difference in the lives of others is very rewarding. I encourage my clients to pick flowers that make them happy, and then let our styling delight them! Some call our style romantic, eclectic, garden-style, country-chic, whimsical and elegant - but the truth is our designs are all these things. Through flowers, I express the personalities and sensibilities of my clients. I look for materials that are unique and research various blooms and giftware to create exceptional visions. Garden roses, peonies, sweet peas, lily of the valley, dahlias, flowering branches, vines, delicate woodland blooms, and gorgeous berries are some of the flowers and accents that make up the framework of my style.

Flowers are the medium of my craft, my life's passion and I am so lucky to find myself in the position to share my love of them with others. I hope you feel welcomed in our shop and experience a little bit of the magic and beauty this world has to offer.
